Keep your canvas open. Your reference is right there.
Open an image with Quick Look in Finder, then press ⌥⌘P to mirror it. Return to your drawing app with the reference still in view and your mouse input reaching the canvas.

Bring your window forward.
Launch Fuwa and bring an app window or Finder Quick Look to the front.

Press ⌥⌘P.
Create a live mirror. On your first pin, grant Screen Recording permission when prompted.

Get back to work.
Manage and freeze mirrors from the menu bar. To unpin, bring the same source forward and press the shortcut again.
Pin several windows and choose a different shortcut in Settings.

Fuwa processes window pixels and metadata on your Mac without uploading them.
No accounts, ads or telemetry. Frozen frames stay in memory and are cleared when unpinned.
Fuwa contacts GitHub only when you choose Check for Updates. Packages are downloaded with your approval and signature-verified before installation. There are no automatic background checks or installs.

a few answers.
Is Fuwa keeping the original window on top?
Fuwa creates a live mirror without changing the source window’s real stacking order. The mirror always passes mouse input through. Choose Reveal Source to bring the real window forward and use it.
Will it work on my computer?
Fuwa requires macOS 14 or later. The package includes Apple silicon and Intel builds; physical Intel Mac testing is still pending. Only macOS is maintained. Windows files are unsupported archives.
Why does Fuwa ask for system permissions?
Screen Recording is requested on your first pin to capture your chosen window. Accessibility is requested only for Interact or Reveal Source. DRM and other protected content may be unavailable for capture.
How do I install it?
Download the macOS ZIP from GitHub Releases, extract it, and move Fuwa.app to Applications. The package has no Apple Developer ID signing or notarization; if macOS blocks it, verify the source and supplied SHA-256 checksum. Versions v0.1.4 and earlier need one manual upgrade to v0.1.5 or later. Apple’s instructions
